Production Manager - Enstone

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Operating at the heart of the Agricultural Supply Chain, our business works manufactures and delivers high quality compound animal feed to the nations pig and poultry farms. With 11 sites across the UK and substantial investment and plans for growth, we know that we need the best people to deliver our strategy. 

Our Production Manager oversees the day-to-day management of our 17 strong operations team who manufacture feed in Enstone.  You will be responsible for developing our team, ensuring they are fully trained and able to thrive in their roles and meet the needs of the business.  Some other responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining mill operations
  • Ensuring health & safety is at the forefront of the manufacturing process
  • Pioneering a culture of engagement and teamwork
  • Make feed safety a priority

You will also champion continuous improvement across the site, working with your team, the Operations Manager and other key stakeholders throughout the business. Additionally, you will support and implement any capital projects.

We are looking for an experienced Production or Shift Team Leader or Manager, ideally within the feed / food manufacturing industry. You must be build relationships quickly and enjoy managing people.  will need to have had experience with Continuous Improvement and be confident to recognise efficiency opportunities. We need a great flexible communication style and you must be able to train and grow a team.  Our workload is ever-changing, so you need to be organised and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.  If you also have experience managing a budget and and provide insight to data reports this is preferred.

This role may involve some planned but infrequent travel to other sites.
