This role offers a unique opportunity to take responsibility for largest poultry customer within the Compounds channel. The successful candidate will oversee the strategic and day to day management of the relationship for the benefit of both the customer and the business.

You’ll be responsible for: 
Contributing to the development of the customer sales strategy, agreeing budgetary targets in terms of sales margins, cost of sales and debtor performance, with the objective of taking maximum advantage of market conditions and competitor activity.
Taking a leading role on a range of business projects related to the Compounds Channel and broader AB Connect commercial strategy that focus on the delivery and improved service and customer experience.
Working with the Technical and Quality team to ensure that new product development within the poultry area is based on technical data and customer insight to meet the needs and expectations of the marketplace, and that any new launches generate additional sales, security and value.
Taking a leading role in identifying opportunities to raise AB Connects’ industry profile as the supplier of choice and act as a champion for the poultry sector, capitalising all opportunities to educate and develop other functions.
Leading, motivating and developing the Account Managers in order to maximise performance, develop skills and promote succession.

What we’re looking for: 

Proven experience in strategic account management
Comprehensive sales experience
Commercial experience with exposure to B2B
Good understanding of business planning and driving improvement in performance
Experience in developing functional and cross functional expertise
Understanding of partnerships and alliances required to deliver EBIT growth in the species sector
Full driving licence that permits driving in the UK
