The Role & Key Responsibilities

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Enstone

Shifts: 8:00 – 16:00, 14:00 – 22:00 and 06:00 – 14:00

40 hours per week over 5 days, plus on call as part of a rota

If these fit with your way of working, then we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Enstone.

Our engineers are responsible for the overall maintenance of the site including both reactive and planned maintenance tasks, fault finding and plant optimisation, whilst supporting the engineering manager. You will work with the engineering manager in creating and building capital plans whilst working to a budget.

The scope of this role covers maximising production efficiencies, product consistency and service whilst ensuring that feed safety and Health and Safety standards are never compromised.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance utilising agreed schedules and reactive maintenance as required
  • Ensure your engineering stock of spares is maintained along with sourcing parts and other spares in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensuring that the achievement of food safety is always a priority.
  • Quick resolution of plant breakdowns, faults, leaks etc.
  • Completion of the preventative maintenance schedule on time and within costs.
  • Minimising plant downtime due to mechanical and electrical failures.
  • Monitoring plant condition on a regular basis to prevent unnecessary equipment failures.
  • Ensuring the mill is maintained and works are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Ensuring the site is electrically & mechanically safe.
  • Contribution towards identifying energy cost saving initiatives.

This site works 24/6 so a degree of flexibility is required.  This vacancy is shift based, working 5 shifts a week (plus on call as part of a rota), with shifts planned annually.
