The Role & Key Responsibilities

Job Title: Mill operative

Location: Cullompton

Shift: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am (average 48 hours per week)

If these fit with your way of working, then we are looking for a Mill Operative to join our team at Cullompton.

 

Your role will be to carry out the day to day operation of the mill production plant, equipment and processes from raw material intake to out loading.  You will be expected to support in maximising efficiency, service and feed consistency while ensuring that feed safety and health and safety standards are never compromised.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Production of finished product to the defined quality standard
  • Completion of the daily production plan as part of the team
  • Ensuring that the achievement of food safety is always a priority
  • Achieving hygiene levels to the required standards within their area & the site
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental Law and Policy while seeking to continuously improve in these areas.
  • Liaising with site management team to provide accurate information to allow effective raw material deliveries, stock control and to ensure production and feed deliveries are effectively aligned.
  • Liaising with site maintenance teams to ensure plant is effectively maintained.
  • Supporting stock takes.

This site works 24/7 so a degree of flexibility is required.  This vacancy is shift based, including weekends, with shifts planned annually.
