Job Title: Commercial Nutritionist – Equine
Location: Flexible UK/Ire
Contract and Shift details: Permanent – Monday – Friday 37.5hrs per week

You will join a team of Nutrition experts, supporting the UK, Ireland and European customer base. We focus on feed safety and independent animal nutrition, so you will use your expert knowledge to advise on bespoke premix products and supplements that meet and optimise the customers’ needs. You will be working closely with our customers, utilising data and science behind the nutrition to develop practical solutions that enable their businesses to grow.
You will generate and support new and existing customers by providing advice on premix, supplements, feed formulation and general nutrition support that meet the needs of the business or market, while ensuring that the specification of the products are safe, legal and meet our business objectives.
Alongside your nutritional knowledge you will be a key part of our growth and ongoing development utilising commercial and strategic skills to support in the following areas:
- Develop and implement business growth strategy in UK, Ireland and Europe
- Input on literature, marketing and PR activities including preparation of articles and technical papers
- Review and research market trends to keep the business ahead of the competitors and provide customers with insight to further develop their business
- Working with operational and quality teams in production to review opportunities for improvements to quality, safety or cost

To be successful we are looking for some of the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Time served experience in a similar role or degree level or equivalent in a relevant field – for example animal science/animal nutrition
- Sound equine nutritional knowledge and understanding of feed legislation requirements and potential product impacts (for example, Beta - NOPS)
- Experience in a commercial role - ideally business development and account management
- Good understanding of the equine feed industry from the competition sector through to hobbyist
Location
For this role we are flexible for the right person, you can be office based at our Rugeley site, home based or hybrid with some travel in UK and abroad.
