The Role & Key Responsibilities

Job Title: Ruminant Sales Manager

Location: USA, Flexible

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an experienced Ruminant Sales Manager to join our team in the US working with our Ruminant Business Manager to develop and apply the commercial strategy in US and Canada.

You will work with nutrition consultants, feed manufacturers, distributors, sales agents, and independently within company disciplines to achieve company regional financial and sales goals while providing commercial support across all avenues in enzymes, yeasts, calf feeds and future product additions.

Some of your responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategy and sales processes with key customers, agents, and distributors to achieve product sales goals.
  • Strengthening business relationships with existing customers working closely with technical services team on a coordinated market strategy.
  • Prospecting and developing new business in the territory, with key focus on the nutrition consultant groups.
  • Participating in setting objectives, generating, and executing plans for sales and marketing to grow ruminant business.
  • Provide sales support to agents and distributors though product training and customer visits including new product launches.
  • Regular monitoring and reporting of territory sales performance against plan using sales forecasting and market analysis driving to the implementation of appropriated commercial actions.
  • Manage AB Vista presence at conferences and trade shows.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to support and update Market Vision, a market database to provide the commercial NAM team with an update on current product and market trends and to provide a strategic outline of new product launches into the marketplace.
  • Regular reporting to Ruminant Business Manager on market development / intelligence, sales, and competitor activities / analysis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced commercial/sales professional in the Ruminant sector to join a growing global business.

To be successful in this role some of the things we are looking for:

  • Degree level or equivalent in dairy/animal nutrition, agriculture, Ag. business and experience in dairy and beef application of feed or feed additives with knowledge of dairy and beef markets
  • Experience in sales with established customer relationships with a focus on nutritionist consultant.
  • Experience at sales introduction of new products and services for expansion of market share.

Location

For this role we can be flexible within the USA, the role will require approx. 40-60% travel
