Permanent: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week with weekend on call and bank holiday cover on a rota.

Do you possess outstanding communication, organisation, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills? If so, join us as a member of our Raw Material Planning team. In this role, you will join a small team responsible for supporting 10 Feed Mills located throughout the UK in the planning and coordination of raw materials essential for Animal Feed production. These raw materials encompass both liquid and dry products, sourced from the UK and across Europe, in both bagged and bulk format.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, encompassing teams such as suppliers, production, formulation, technical, procurement, and demand planning.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and hauliers to arrange shipments, confirm delivery instructions, and effectively manage any delivery exceptions.
  • Collaborating closely with the Procurement team to oversee purchase contract call-offs, actively managing contract balances, and providing visibility regarding significant changes in requirements.
  • Working alongside the Finance teams to investigate and resolve any supplier invoice queries promptly.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team by actively supporting and engaging in new ideas or continuous improvement activities.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation, approximately 1 in 5, following adequate training.

This role presents an excellent opportunity if you thrive in problem-solving scenarios and value teamwork. You will play a pivotal role in the heartbeat of our operations, contributing significantly to the successful execution of production processes.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Proficiency in logical problem-solving.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and manage relationships through effective communication.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities with short notice.
  • Prior experience in working with data, numbers, and information, including collation and analysis to make informed decisions.

For this role we are looking for someone who can work on a hybrid working approach from home and our Peterborough office 1-2 days a week + travel to our UK Mills to gain an understanding of production and build relationships with operations teams.

We are changing the future of British food and farming for the better.

When you join us, you'll do meaningful work and be rewarded fairly for it. From annual salary reviews and incentive bonus, company car/allowance, ongoing career development and enhanced family, financial and wellbeing benefits – these are just some of the ways we reward you - from day one.
