LGV Driver

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Due to Company growth a number of opportunities have come up for experienced LGV Class 1 Licence holders with relevant DCPC qualification to join our team and work as an LGV driver in our Northallerton Mill. We're the UK's largest producer of Pig and Poultry compound feed with 11 sites located across the UK, delivering to Customers Nationwide.

Reporting to the site Transport Manager, you'll safely and effectively perform bulk blown animal feed deliveries to our Customers across the UK. You must be a team player, with a flexible approach to working patterns, being able to assist others in their role as well as being able to work individually are key requirements.
You'll adhere to all Site and Company H&S regulations, being familiar with the requirements and implications of the H&S at Work Act. You'll complete daily walk round checks before leaving site, conducting feed deliveries accurately and efficiently.
We're looking for someone with an LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC and ideally someone with experience using bulk blowing equipment. A thorough understanding of quality standards is also desirable.
What's really important to us is that you're self motivated, a team player and a great communicator. Great Customer service skills and a desire to meet Customer expectations are also very important to us.
You must also be flexible with regards to working patterns as this role will be shift based and will include an element of night shift activity.
Skills & Experience
  • LGV Class 1 Licence
  • relevant DCPC qualification
  • Experience with bulk blowing discharge equipment is desirable but training will be given to the right candidate
