Maintenance Engineer

The Role & Key Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has come up in our Enstone Mill for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the team of engineers,undertaking both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

You’ll ensure routine and preventative maintenance is carried out as and when required to correct and prevent equipment breakdown (including working with external contractors as required). You’ll operate all aspects of day to day maintenance in reporting and rectification of plant defects and modifications, to ensure operational safety, output and quality standards are maintained.

You’ll control maintenance costs to meet budget / forecast with the Maintenance Team Leader & Site Management. You’ll work to minimise plant downtime due to mechanical and electrical failure, monitoring plant condition on a regular basis to prevent unnecessary downtime. You’ll also suggest continuous improvement opportunities where necessary, highlighting potential efficiencies.

 
Skills & Experience

You’re an experienced electrical/electronic and mechanical engineer, demonstrating familiarity with process control systems. You’ve got a proven background in maintaining plant equipment within either a production or manufacturing environment, taking an electrical bias to your skill set.

You’re a minimum apprentice trained electrical technician,with demonstrable experience in a manufacturing sector. Candidates with City & Guilds qualifications and/ or equivalent work experience in an industrial maintenance discipline will be considered. You’re also experienced with electrical safety for the non-electrician.

Ideally you’re experienced in report generation and data interpretation, comfortably being able to discuss these reports with your Team Leader and the Site Management team.

You must have a willingness to work off a shift pattern that includes days, nights and weekend working.
