Quality Compliance & Accreditation Manager

The Role & Key Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Compliance & Accreditation Team within the QA department of AB Connect. The role is to lead on compliance and accreditation support and provide guidance to operating and trading sites mainly located in the Midlands and South of England. Ensuring relevant business areas comply with legal, industry and retail feed safety requirements.

You will lead on the completion of internal auditing and the facilitation of 3rd party audits, working with sites to complete effective corrective actions. As part of this you will manage the interface between the site and the auditing body ensuring satisfactory audit close out.

In line with the overall business feed safety culture you will provide introductory and refresher training to staff within the business, including HACCP.

Collation of data demonstrating our compliance is integral to the role, working with relevant business area leads, you will review and agree areas of progress, to ensure we work in line with business objectives and key performance indicators.

This role requires an individual with excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support the business in a compelling and constructive way. The successful individual will be able to instill confidence and trust in their knowledge and capability.


Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of feed manufacturing and trading, with an appreciation of the legal, industry, customer and retail requirements. Experience in compliance and accreditation would be of benefit, along with an understanding of the whole supply chain (Monogastric & Ruminant).

Recognised auditing and HACCP qualifications would be desirable, but not essential as training will be provided. However the individual needs to demonstrate the aptitude and enthusiasm to develop the core skills required for the role. An ability to work with a range of stakeholders both within the business and externally, including own and 3rd party manufacturing facilities and customers.

The role requires an innovative individual, who has a high level of motivation and can work independently, but also thrives working within a team. They will need to demonstrate the ability and flexibility to prioritise and balance both reactive and proactive demands.

The individual needs to be commercially aware whilst working to protect and enhance the business reputation.

You will need a full UK driving license and there will be a requirement for overnight stays.
