Finance Analyst - Due Diligence

The Role & Key Responsibilities

We’re hiring a Finance Analyst - Due Diligence to join the Finance team based at our Peterborough, UK site. 

Due to internal progression and our continued business growth we are excited to be recruiting for 2 roles in our Due Diligence team, this one 'Due Diligence Analyst' and a Head of Due Diligence and Transactions.  The acquisition of businesses along with major organic growth projects are key pillars of our strategy and therefore this role has a direct and immediate impact.

 In this role you will be responsible for:  

  • Co-ordinating work with functional specialists to ensure that thorough Due Diligence (DD) is conducted and a robust business case for Acquisitions is produced.
  • Development of the DD work scope and DD questions.
  • Reviewing, understanding and challenging the data room content and working with functional experts to support the DD process.
  • Co-ordinating DD progress and supplementary questions, assisting with financial DD and assisting with DD launch and review meetings.

The skills, experience and knowledge we're looking for include:

  • Qualified Accountant with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience of working cross functionally. 
  • Ability to work at speed, deadline focused and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Great interpersonal skills able to work with a large number of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office with advanced Excel skills.
