Job Title: Field Based Sales Specialist / Account Manager 
 
Specialism: Dairy nutrition & Feed Ingredients 

Location: UK south region 


We’re looking for an experienced Field Based Sales Specialist to join our sales team.  A proven sales person, with gravitas, tenacity and a knowledge of dairy nutrition and feed ingredients you’ll be responsible for a ‘warm’ territory which already has an established order book.  Your objective will be to grow the value of existing customer relationships and win new business.

Your responsibilities will include

Building a medium term (2-3 year) Sales strategy for the defined area. 
Being the main field-based interface between the Feed Ingredients function and all ruminant retail accounts within a designated area.
Having accountability for the commercial relationships with clients within the defined area
Ensuring the delivery of the sales plan in partnership with the key stakeholders
Segmenting and targeting customers and prospects
Spending approximately 70% of your time on account management securing repeat business and growing the value of existing relationships.  30% of time on new business sales and income generation. 

 

What we’re looking for

Strong ‘Solution based’ Selling skills, attributing value to customer benefits.
Good commercial negotiator, with experience in an agricultural / B2C sales role. Dairy nutrition and feed ingredients knowledge. 
Ability to foster influential relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to sell concepts in a compelling way.
