Role: Energy and Utilities Efficiency Manager

Location: UK

Contract & Shift details: Permanent, Home based with frequent travel to sites.

We are seeking an Energy & Utilities Manager to lead the drive for energy efficiency and utility performance across our business. You’ll be joining a small, specialised team with over 100 years of combined experience in milling and manufacturing, and you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of energy management across our sites.

Responsibilities: (Not limited to)

  • Monitor, track, and improve energy usage across all sites, ensuring continued compliance with ISO50001.
  • Analyse process efficiencies, drive standardization, and coach teams to optimize operations.
  • Keep up with the latest in energy market trends and government regulations, maximizing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track energy performance data, assist with budgeting, and support financial forecasts.
  • Advise site engineering managers on asset care progress, with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving plant availability.
  • Work closely with site teams to embed energy-focused behaviours and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

About you:

  • A strong engineering background with experience in manufacturing or energy management.
  • Proven track record in energy efficiency and asset care improvements.
  • Familiarity with ISO50001, ESOS, and carbon reduction legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • A passion for driving process improvements and sustainability goals.
