Job Title: Utility Operator

Location: Fridaythorpe, Yorkshire, UK

Contract Type: Permanent - 48hrs per week- Mon -Fri, high degree of flexibility is required, Sat and evening work will be required when covering other roles.

We have an exciting opportunity for a great individual to join our team and support our milling operation. As a key member of our team, you will carry out a range of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our processes, including raw material intake, bulk outloading, pressing, blending, additives preparation, and hygiene maintenance.

Your role will be crucial in maximising efficiency, service, and feed consistency, all while upholding the highest standards of feed safety and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weigh and load finished product lorries with the correct feed types, performing a range of quality checks.
  • Maintain hygiene levels in the mill to the required standards.
  • Weigh raw material vehicles in and out of the site, perform quality checks, and ensure materials are correctly routed to storage locations.
  • Prepare and supply hand-tip additions for blending.
  • Prioritise food safety in all operations.
  • Assist in meeting and exceeding UFAS standards.
  • Adhere to all site and company health and safety regulations.
  • Follow and improve site hygiene routines and action plans.
  • Perform stock checks as required.
  • Operate press and blending processes as needed.
  • Undertake swabbing and sampling processes.

About you:

  • Prior experience in food, agricultural, or production environments.
  • Experience working with automated plant machinery.
  • Proven ability to balance responsibilities in a complex environment.
  • Feed mill production experience. (Desirable)
  • PC skills. (Desirable)
  • FLT License. (Desirable)
