Maintenance Engineer

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Are you a trained electrical technician with demonstrable experience within an engineering role within the manufacturing sector? ABN, the UK's leading manufacturer of compound feeds are looking for an Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to work at our Flixborough site. Working with a team of onsite engineers, you'll be working to ensure that routine and preventative maintenance is carried out to maximise plant up-time and making sure we operate to the highest standards in quality and feed safety.


Key Responsibilities

•Carry out planned preventative maintenance utilising agreed schedule
•Carry out reactive maintenance as required
•Monitor plant condition on a regular basis to prevent unnecessary equipment failures
•Ensure the site is Electrically & Mechanically safe
•Working as part of a team or under your own initiative
•Drive workshop and work area housekeeping improvement to a very high standard.

Skills & Experience

•Multi-skilled engineer; HNC (or equivalent) Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
•Suitable & relevant Engineering experience
•Good H&S knowledge in legislation and application (IOSH qualification, desirable)
•A logical and structured thinker, with a strong ability to solve problems.
•Recognises when to persist and when to change course
•Counter balance fork truck licence would be an advantage
•Experience of steam generating equipment.
