Poultry Nutritionist

The Role & Key Responsibilities

We have an excellent opportunity for a poultry nutritionist to join our highly skilled team, driving innovation in our products and services and adding value to our customers.


With a good knowledge of poultry nutrition (and ideally production), and a sound scientific and analytical background, you’ll partner with teams across the business to deliver nutritional excellence to our customers.


We’re looking for an individual with an innovative approach,who is open to new ideas, and has experience interpreting performance data,with a focus on understanding and responding to the needs of our customers.


We need someone who shares our passion and enthusiasm for the industry, has a desire to become recognised as a technical expert in their field, and is capable of supporting and developing a market-leading portfolio of products.

Skills & Experience

Work with the Nutrition and Commercial teams to deliver the customer proposition by interpreting performance data and understanding customer requirements.


Work with the Nutrition team to ensure the specification of the Poultry products are safe, legal and meet the marketing, commercial and margin objectives of the business


In conjunction with the Technical & Quality team and Commercial leads seek out and design novel, innovative and differentiating products, systems and services.

Contribute to the Research & Development programme by assisting with:

·        Establishing research priorities

·        Identifying trial facilities

·        Preparation of trial protocols

·        Monitoring trial progress

·        Preparation of trial reports

·        Interpretation, presentation and commercial application of trial outcomes


Input to the preparation and delivery of product literature,marketing materials, and PR activity, including nutrition related articles.


In conjunction with the Operations and Quality teams, contribute to the understanding of our feed manufacture processes in order to deliver changes that improve quality, safety and cost of production of our feed.

Participate in the investigation of nutritional related complaints and variation of product from defined tolerances in collaboration with Operations and Quality.


Assist in the preparation and presentation of practical nutritional training to the business.


This role is primarily based at AB Agri Head Office(Peterborough).


Travel will be required, mainly to ABN mills and customer facilities in the UK.


A full UK Driving licence is essential
