Procurement Specialist - AD

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Amur, part of AB Agri, the UK’s leading Animal Feed and Anaerobic Digestion company are seeking an experienced outbound telesales candidate to join their team in the Peterborough Head office.

You will need to be a passionate and experienced Sales Person who can hit the ground running.  Your experience and ability to identify opportunities will be essential, you will also need to be a reliable daily presence in this busy office environment.

We are looking for someone who goes above and beyond will be the nature of this role. Although predominantly office based and telesales focused, the role can quickly expand into field sales and develop into a more customer facing position. This opportunity is for a successful canvasser who wants to take the next step in to the field sales.

Full product training in the animal feed and food waste sector will be given, but any waste or recycling experience would be an advantage. An excellent package and career development opportunities come with the role, so only enthusiastic, driven individuals need apply. NO AGENCIES.

 

Skills & Experience
  • Waste sales and procurement experience, AD Feedstock knowledge, with a strong network of contacts in the waste and AD industry.

  • Able to give examples of where they have influenced indirect reports and worked effectively with channel and functional teams.

  • Able to give examples where they have exceeded against agreed objectives and budgetary targets.

  • Able to share insight into the waste and AD industry to further strengthen Amur’s position in the marketplace.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Able to effectively build relationships to garner collaboration from internal colleagues and external influencers.

  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Able to effectively network with industry influencers to raise business profile.

  • Has, or is able to develop, an in depth understanding of the fundamental drivers of the AD industry.

  • Numerate with the ability to understand performance data.

  • Happy to cold call by telephone, email and social media to establish first contacts.

  • A strong desire to succeed and an absolute ‘can do’ attitude.

  • An understanding that the work load is not even paced whilst having the ability to prioritise and delegate where necessary.

  • Builds pride and passion through displaying a professional and inspirational team platform that encourages others to want to be a part of the success.

  • Proven to be Customer Focused by having a network of close relationships across the business teams and customer base allowing the territory to identify and align itself to industry winners and be truly able to add value to their businesses.
