Marketing Executive - Maternity Cover

The Role & Key Responsibilities

This is an exciting role for an ambitious Marketing Executive who thrives on change and challenge to join our team for a 12 month FTC. This role provides huge scope for an individual who is ambitious in what they want to achieve in Marketing and is confident and driven in their approach to business. This role will be working within the Feed Ingredients area of the business so the ability to be able to learn and process information will be key.

As Marketing Executive you will be directly responsible for managing and implementing key product, brand and channel marketing activity to directly support the achievement of business goals.

Reporting into the Marketing Manager you will work collaboratively to understand the changing commercial priorities of the channel and assist in developing new and innovative product and channel marketing activity managing the implementation of this to a high standard in line with budgets set.

The ability to be able to hit the ground running is essential in a fast paced and busy environment. The role offers massive opportunity in terms of being able to make a difference from marketing support perspective within the business.

Role Objectives:

As Marketing Executive you will be responsible for managing the implementation of key product and brand marketing activity in line with agreed plans and commercial goals.  As part of this you will be required to:

  • Understand the commercial goals for activity
  • Challenge the appropriateness of ideas put forward and make recommendations for best practice marketing activity
  • Lead the development of high level plans for these areas
  • Manage the implementation of activity in line with budgets
  • To scope and implement a marketing plan for Feed Ingredients and manage the implementation of all tactical marketing activity.
  • You will also be required to support the Marketing Manager with the development of Marketing Strategies and tactical plans for the business.
  • Stakeholder management with the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate at senior level will be a key part of this role
  • Manage suppliers to ensure we get the best support for our overall marketing investment
  • Manage channel budgets to ensure we work within the parameters set
  • Build your personal knowledge of best practice B2B marketing and seek to challenge and input into projects, plans and ideas where possible.
Skills & Experience
  • Ideally a degree in Marketing and / or a Certificate or First level IDM / CIM qualification Or degree level qualified. 
  • Relevant experience within a Marketing environment
  • Experience in managing marketing budgets and agencies
  • Experience in managing marketing campaigns, events and integrated marketing communications.
  • Experience in digital marketing (website management, social media, content management, email marketing and SEO)
  • Strong communication & copy writing skills.
  • Excellent communicator, well organised with a good attention to detail
  • Passionate about wanting a career in marketing and keen to learn and develop
  • Good level of numeracy and comfortable with data
This role is office based (Peterborough) with some occasional travel.
