Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Sherburn in Elmet and South Milford, North Yorkshire – UK

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday

If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join ABN as an Operations Manager where you will be responsible for our Feed Mill at Sherburn and AD Plant (Anaerobic Digestions) in South Milford. Our AD plant is leading the manufacturing aspect of an innovative Anaerobic Digestion plant. The mission is clear, to transform waste materials into valuable resources, generating clean energy for the national grid while contributing to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, ownership, and governance of both sites, working towards growth plans.
  • Support and coach colleagues to achieve high performance.
  • Drive everyday excellence initiatives.
  • Profit & Loss responsibility and budget controls
  • Main point of contact for customers, facilitating effective service delivery and profitable supply relationships
  • Promote a culture of training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, Feed safety, and quality requirements.

About you:

  • Proven Manufacturing leadership experience with the ability to improve culture and performance.
  • Experience managing significant budgets and capital projects.
  • Ability to inspire the team to deliver business goals and lead through change and ambiguity.
  • Strong continuous improvement knowledge and capability.
  • Excellent leadership and engagement skills.
  • Sound understanding of business drivers and the ability to translate knowledge into cohesive plans.
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen with prioritisation skills.
  • Feed milling or similar industry experience is desirable.
  • Anaerobic digestion plant or similar process experience is desirable.
