Job Title: Supply Chain Management Accountant

We're looking for a Supply Chain Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Peterborough. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our supply chain operations by delivering clear, accurate, and insightful financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our supply chain function, partnering with stakeholders across the business to facilitate performance and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver accurate and timely P&L reporting, including detailed variance analysis and causal insights.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Finance team during period end to ensure smooth and efficient financial close processes.
- Prepare and manage balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide clear, relevant, and insightful financial information to Supply Chain stakeholders.
- Continuously simplify and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and clarity.
- Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvements through cost base analysis.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with supply chain partners.
- Contribute to capex/project work and ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Experience in management accounting, ideally within a supply chain or operational environment.
- Extensive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and good working knowledge of finance systems.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to non-finance audiences.
- Motivated, solution-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a busy workplace.
Location
Hybrid, a mix of office and homeworking. This role will be based at our Peterborough offices on the Lynchwood Business Park.
