Job Title: Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist
Location: Home based with travel to customers and Head Office, Rugeley, Staffordshire
Contract and shift pattern: Permanent - 37.5 hours per week

As a Commercial Nutritionist – Ruminant, you’ll not only manage and grow valued customer accounts across the UK and Ireland, but also become a true partner to their businesses, offering technical expertise, innovative feed solutions, and commercially smart advice. What you'll be doing:
- Contribute as a core member of the Ruminant team at Premier Nutrition, with responsibility for acquiring new customers and supporting existing accounts across premix, supplements, feed formulation, and the provision of expert nutritional and technical advice.
- Engage with customers to gain a detailed understanding of their performance targets, strategic objectives, and market-specific requirements, ensuring that tailored solutions are delivered effectively.
- Safeguard product specifications, ensuring they remain compliant with safety and legal standards, while also meeting the commercial, marketing, and margin objectives of the business.
- Play an active role in the preparation of product literature, marketing campaigns, PR initiatives, and the authorship of technical articles and thought-leadership pieces.
- Represent the company externally by preparing and presenting technical papers at conferences, seminars, and discussion groups, strengthening Premier Nutrition’s profile within the industry.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of ruminant nutrition, production systems, and performance data.
- Proven ability to apply animal ruminant nutrition in a commercial setting, with experience developing robust R&D plans, protocols, and diets.
