As a Quality & Technical Analyst at NMR you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the laboratory’s compliance with the internationally recognised ISO 17025 standard.

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough internal audits across various departments, ensuring that all processes meet stringent quality and technical requirements.

You will also serve as a key point of contact for technical queries from customers, providing expert guidance and support on testing methods and specifications. • Respond to technical queries from customers on a rotating basis, providing clear and accurate information related to testing methods and laboratory procedures.
    • Investigate and manage customer complaints related to laboratory services, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
    • Maintain and control quality management documentation, including auditing document control systems and approving changes to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Collaborate closely with laboratory teams and management to monitor proficiency testing results, calibrations, and ring trials, distilling complex data into actionable insights for continuous improvement.

    What we're looking for

    • Proven experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally within an ISO 17025 or ISO 9001 accredited lab, to ensure familiarity with quality standards and testing procedures.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough internal audits across various departments, identifying non-conformities and ensuring compliance with international standards.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to interact professionally with different teams, provide clear audit findings, and manage technical queries from customers effectively.
    • Inquisitive and analytical mindset, capable of questioning processes constructively and driving continuous improvement within the quality management system.
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, to manage documentation, reports, and audit records efficiently.

    What you'll need

    • A degree or background in a scientific discipline, preferably with laboratory experience
    • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally within an ISO 17025 or ISO 9001 accredited lab.
    • Strong understanding of quality management systems and internal auditing processes
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and communicate non-conformities effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Valid driver’s license, as the role requires travel between sites.
    • Commitment to working on-site Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week at the Glasgow Hillington location.
