Our Central Finance team is looking for a motivated Management Accountant to join the team during an exciting phase of development. This role is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant to build deep technical skills in balance sheet processes, gain exposure to multiple ERP systems, and play a key role in maintaining financial control across a diverse and growing business.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the reconciliation of Central balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness each month.
- Manage intercompany and call account reconciliations across multiple ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, M3).
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including depreciation, additions, and disposals using Hardcat software.
- Prepare and post international payroll journals and support monthly recharge processes.
- Allocate central costs (e.g., mobile phone recharges) to the appropriate divisions with accuracy and consistency.
- Reconcile Group loan accounts and liaise with ABF and British Sugar to resolve queries.
- Support the preparation of year-end audit files in collaboration with the Central Finance Manager.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and system implementation projects to enhance financial efficiency.
What you'll bring:
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA), or AAT-qualified with clear progression towards a professional qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in balance sheet reconciliations, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with working across multiple ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and M3.
- Proficient Excel and general computer literacy skills.
- Effective communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- A motivated and curious mindset, with the ability to organize tasks efficiently and as part of a collaborative finance team.
- Experience working with fixed asset registers, cost allocations, or payroll recharges.
- Experienced, accountable, and keen to learn and develop within a dynamic and supportive environment.
