Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Bury St Edmunds, UK
Contract type and shift: Permanent, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

We're looking for a Transport Manager to take ownership of our transport operation, leading a team of LGV Drivers while ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective distribution. You'll play a pivotal role in optimising fleet performance, improving efficiencies and delivering outstanding service to our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and developing a team of drivers to deliver a safe, high-performing operation
- Managing transport compliance, including DVSA, WTD, O-Licence and CPC requirements
- Working closely with Planning, Production and Customer Services to maximise service levels
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies
- Managing transport budgets, KPIs and performance metrics
- Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, feed safety and vehicle compliance
What we're looking for
- CPC National Road Haulage qualification
- O-Licence Holder experience
- Proven transport, fleet or distribution management experience
- Strong people leadership and performance management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
