Our Digital Workplace Engineering team here at ABF BTS (Business Technology Services) is looking for a Digital Workplace Engineer to join their growing, globally connected team. In this role, you’ll provide second and third-line support, working with modern tools like Intune and SCCM to ensure seamless IT operations across the business. You’ll collaborate with teams worldwide, assisting to maintain an efficient digital workplace.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide second and third-line support for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain software applications using tools such as Intune and SCCM to ensure seamless business operations.
- Manage and support end-user workstation hardware, peripheral devices, and network connectivity, resolving issues efficiently.
- Perform system diagnostics, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve IT performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global colleagues to deliver technical support and solutions across multiple business units.
- Maintain and update configuration management databases (CMDB) with accurate hardware and software records.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and software usage.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in a desktop engineering or digital workplace support role, providing second and third-line IT support.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and troubleshooting software applications.
- Practical experience with Intune and SCCM for software deployment, device management, and policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with network protocols, connectivity troubleshooting, and remote support tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Skilled problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own tasks or collaboratively work within a global team.
- Experience working within an ITIL framework and maintaining IT service levels.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work a minimum of one day per week in the Peterborough office.
Location
Hybrid, a mix of office and homeworking. This role will be based at our Peterborough offices on the Lynchwood Business Park.
