Job Title: Category Development Manager - Services & Technology
Location: United Kingdom (Home based - with occasional travel to sites such as Peterborough and Harrogate).

We’re looking for a Category Development Manager –Services & Technologies to join our Operational Marketing team at AB Dairy. In this role, you’ll lead the strategic development and performance of our Services & Technologies portfolio, from on-farm advisory services to digital innovations. You’ll work cross-functionally to shape the future of how we support ruminant farmers through smarter, more connected solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and deliver strategic plans for the Services & Technologies category to support growth and profitability.
- Use your understanding of the ruminant sector to shape and evolve service and technology offerings in line with customer needs.
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to uncover opportunities and market gaps.
- Optimise pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and long-term value.
- Lead the implementation of targeted campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and uptake across the category.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Commercial, Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Monitor performance through sales data, customer feedback, and key category metrics—adjusting strategies as needed.
- Ensure service and technology solutions are aligned to customer experience goals and overall business strategy.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong understanding of the UK dairy/agriculture industry, particularly in relation to on-farm services and ag-tech solutions.
- Commercially minded with proven experience in a strategic, analytical, or product-focused role.
- Ability to work with technical teams to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insight.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, experienced in working cross-functionally across teams.
- Proficient in Excel, CRM systems, and other reporting or analysis tools.
Location
This role is predominantly home-based and can be performed remotely. Occasional visits to our recently refurbished Peterborough office, as well as other sites across the UK.
