Location: United Kingdom (Home based - with occasional travel to sites such as Peterborough and Harrogate).

We’re looking for a Category Development Manager – Services & Technologies to join our Operational Marketing team at AB Dairy. In this role, you’ll lead the strategic development and performance of our Services & Technologies portfolio, from on-farm services to digital tools and data platforms. Working closely with colleagues across commercial, technical, and operational teams, you’ll use insight, analysis and creativity to optimise category performance and shape future growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and deliver strategic plans for the services and technologies category to support growth and profitability.
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to uncover opportunities and market gaps.
- Use insight to shape and evolve service and technology offerings in line with customer needs.
- Optimise pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and long-term value.
- Develop operational marketing plans that increase visibility and uptake across the category.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Commercial, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Monitor performance through sales data, feedback, and key category metrics adjusting strategies as needed.
- Ensure service and technology solutions are aligned to customer experience goals and overall business strategy.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong understanding of the UK dairy/agriculture industry and its commercial and operational challenges.
- Commercially minded with proven experience working in a strategic, analytical, or product-focused role.
- Ability to work with technical teams (e.g., technology or engineering) to translate business requirements into solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insight.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, experienced in working cross-functionally across teams.
- Proficient in Excel, CRM systems, and other reporting or analysis tools.
- Comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects to tight timelines.
Location
This role is predominantly home-based and can be performed remotely. Occasional visits to our recently refurbished Peterborough office, as well as other sites across the UK.
