Job Title: ERP Functional Specialist (Commodity Procurement)
Location: Peterborough / Hybrid
Package includes: Salary from £45,000 plus a benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and reward your impact, including discretionary performance related bonus and a matched pension contribution of up to 10%
Are you an ERP Functional Specialist who enjoys shaping how businesses operate, not just how systems are configured? Do you thrive on working closely with stakeholders to design practical, end-to-end processes that balance standardisation with real business needs across multiple countries? Are you a subject matter expert in procurement, both in raw materials and indirect purchasing?
Our Project Enterprise team at AB Agri is looking for an ERP Functional Specialist with a strong procurement background to play a key role in the design, delivery and adoption of our ERP solution. Working as part of a large, multi-workstream transformation programme, you’ll own the functional design for your area, partnering with business leaders and subject matter experts to move the organisation from current ways of working to a consistent, future-focused ERP landscape.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the end-to-end functional design and to-be process definition for your ERP purchase to pay workstream, aligned to model company standards
- Lead functional workshops with Local Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts across UK and European business units
- Act as the functional authority for your area throughout design, build, testing and go-live phases
- Assess current processes against the standard ERP design, identifying gaps and agreeing MoSCoW priorities where variation is required
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Global Process Owners, data teams, business analysts and system integrators to ensure cross-functional alignment
- Take ownership of master data and reporting requirements for your functional area, ensuring decisions support enterprise-wide consistency
- Track progress, risks and dependencies for your workstream, contributing to programme reporting and stage-gate decisions
- Support business readiness, training and post-go-live sustainment to ensure successful adoption of new processes and ways of working
What you'll bring:
- Solid ERP implementation experience, ideally across multiple business units or complex environments
- Strong functional knowledge in Procurement ERP processes
- Proven experience working on change or transformation programmes, influencing stakeholders to adopt standard processes
- Ability to analyse business processes, facilitate workshops and translate requirements into clear functional and design documentation
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Analytical and structured thinker, comfortable balancing standardisation with justified local variation
- A proactive, curious mindset with the confidence to challenge, ask questions and propose better ways of working
- Experience with Infor M3 is advantageous but not essential; experience with SAP S/4 HANA or D365 is also highly valued
